(Friday’s Fabulous Freebies columnist)

Hi, I’m Laura. I am a mom to seven children, four boys and three girls; and the wife to a great guy. He has
to be great to put up with my crazy antics. I am trying to raise my children to love the Lord, and be
all they can be to glorify HIM.

I am a homeschooling, stay at home, gardening, reading, scrapbooking, and blogging kind of gal. I am a true blue, southern, country girl. I was born and raised in the country with a brief stint of living in the city not long ago and now back to the country. My family and I live on five acres, which we call a mini farm, because we garden and raise chickens.

My favorite season is Winter. I love the cold and the snow (well when we get snow). Fall/Autumn would be my second favorite with the cool crisp air, changing leaves, and harvest time.

I’m not much into watching tv or movies because we don’t own a television. We have been tv-free for four years. However, when we did own a t.v., I loved to watch my dvd’s of Gone With the Wind, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sarah Plain and Tall, among a few other ones. I enjoy many crafts including scrapbooking, cardmaking, cross-stitch, crochet, sewing, as well as a few other things. I occasionally teach a scrapbooking class for the women in our church and I sing in the church choir.

Wanna know a little quirk of mine? I can write with both hands. Albeit my handwriting with my right hand is a little more legible than my left. My hubby still calls it chicken scratch though.

I’ll be the first admit that I am addicted to finding freebies as well as entering contests. I have been known as a Freebie Queen in my past forum posting days. Hey where’s my tiara anyways? Oh yeah, haven’t found a free one of those yet, but I’m still looking!
